Afraid the wrong person will win? Wrong for you or wrong for me? LOL!
Are your panties in a bunch because Trump's on the loose (canon) and has sparked something in many Americans who are totally fed up with the crap that has been going on for a while? Problems are not being solved in Washington and they want change - BIG change. If Trump ISN'T the answer, he has, by just doing what he's doing, changed the way contenders are presenting themselves. This makes things interesting; it keeps everyone on their toes.
I've had friends and family (sorry to point fingers, but mostly Liberals - Libs I love) who express distress (poet, no?) by Trump's presence as he parades his energy and wealth around the country. His arrogance is palpable. He's bigger than life; his confidence is unquelchable; he's magnanimous; he's everywhere at the same time; he's very rich (his words), and his hair is magnificent (again, his words). I am riveted, obssessed, and can't take my eyes off his hair, trying to see where the hair comes from and where it goes. Like him, it's everywhere at the same time. I would love for him to lose the hair because it's distracting to me, and I can't catch the Trumpage Spark that has captivated (or repulsed) the nation. People who are close to him say he's a good friend, a nice guy, and generous and good to people. I say to those whose angst about him alarms them:
Relax.... enjoy the ride, the pooched lips and screaming comb-over along the way. This is historic entertainment at its finest. Trump wants to build a wall at the border - not just any wall, but an impenetrable wall built like Trump builds everything - like a brick shit house, nothing any less, and of course, Mexico will pay for it because "they're making a fortune off us; they're killing us!" Trump is fresh and refreshing to many. He calls a spade a spade and won't back down. At first, the things he says are outrageous, but the more people think about it, the more it makes sense. It's contagious. He says the immigration problem we have is due to the Mexican leaders being more cunning and smarter than ours. There are those who agree. Trump is a breath of fresh air compared to the Hill (and not the Capitol kind). She carries far too much baggage, is old school and the kind of person my dad would have called a "dry bag." Hey, I'm not being partisan.... I call some of the GOP dry bags too. Hill Baby is so boring, the only thing fresh about her is what color pantsuit she's wearing today. Oh, and I remember she had some fresh news (to me - did YOU know?), said not too long ago that she and Billy were dead broke and in debt when they left the White House, so she won't be sporting an impressive helicopter like Trump's with his name on the side. Hers, if she were rich enough to have one, might sport the name BUSTED, which could cover two birds with one stone - that they were busted broke, or what you might say about Billy and Monica when it was discovered he didn't count her on her knees under his desk a sexual relation, OR, getting her money's worth, BUSTED could also cover a couple of Hillary's bonehead moves lately. Too bad she couldn't have had the impact at the Iowa State Fair that Trump had giving helicopter rides to the kids. The guy knows how to make an entrance and how to make a splash. Humility is not a virtue of Trump's, but neither is it of Barack Obama's. Narcissism could be used to describe both men.
One of Trump's latest things is that "We have to take care of our women." Oh, goodie! I've always missed being taken care of, protected, sheltered, and revered. OMG... gag me with a spoon! I never felt the need. Trump's campaign centers around "making this country great again." We do need help there, for sure. We've become a nation of whiners about all sorts of things that are offensive to our sensitivities to every freaking thing under the sun. Pansy-assed pussies are what I call them all, and I just wanna say to them, "Are you freaking serious?" This kind of crap must come out of the clouds, and compared to the dangers of people living among us wanting to join ISIS or being a threat right here and costing us our lives, what is the matter with people??? And, God knows we're no longer respected by the rest of the world. Even our ally, Israel, can't count on us, small as they are.
The only thing I can think of that would be even more entertaining is if Joe Biden joins the Democratic contenders with Bernie and Hill. Hillary may have to crash and burn before that scenario of Joe entering the ring, but that wouldn't be any loss. Joe is of the fame of saying "This is a big f**king deal" to Barack Obama, which the microphone picked up and was entertainment for quite some time. Bless his heart - Joe has experienced much tragedy in his personal life and knows empathy, is a good man with a winning smile that makes ME smile, and people like him. Besides all that, it was Beau's dying wish that he run for the presidency, so he does have quite a vested interest in doing just that for his son. I do believe that this country would be in a better position today had he been at the helm.
So, while Trump is pompous, boastful, very rich, and doesn't hesitate to send out personal zingers, on the other hand, he admits when someone calls him on something and says why; he doesn't lie; is outspoken but has a plan for everything he'd like to see happen, no matter how ludicrous; he's drawing crowds of people who are angry with what's happening today; he's charismatic (makes Obama look like a Dale Carnegie drop-out), and he has something that people are hungering for. So, I say....
Watch him! Laugh, cry, puke, cheer, all the while eating a bowl of popcorn or enjoying a fried Twinkie - anything. Get comfy and know that you're watching an exciting piece of history and a great show of everything that makes a box office hit. If you don't think so, at least watch so you can pass on to younger generations the background and story of how the Great Wall of Trumpage at the border came about and how a big blowhard named Trump, with a combover from hell, got it done.
